My computer's been acting up lately. Whenever I try to multi-task, and try to come back to the page I was on last, I have to wait like 2 minutes while my mouse freezes too. It lags with MS Paint, it doesn't shut down right, it sometimes turns off by itself, and my main disk (ACER C:) keeps on filling up by itself! I delete and delete stuff but nothing seems to work and the has only 826 MB left on it!
There could be a few reasons for this.
1. I bought it a year ago.
2. There is some weird program that I can't delete. The name of it is 'dark'.
3. My mom slammed it on the floor about 2 weeks ago.
4. There might be a virus downloaded...
5. ????
6. Profit!
Anyway, my computer is an Acer model, a laptop. Please give me advice to help clear up some space on my main disk, or to make my compyootur run fastur. And don't tell me to delete system32. I know what that does. :P
Also, it runs on Vista...

Sell it on eBay and get a better one and keep it updated with the latest Anti-virus software! My uncle's laptop got a virus because of his not being able to update it regularly enough!

As you can see, I'm looking for ways to better my computer, not to fucking sell it when it sucks and has a crack through the computer, and all my shit in it, and when I don't have any money.

Selling it gives you money! BUt with your stuff on it that gives us a problem. Dowload the free AVG antivirus program from Grisoft. It works brilliantly as an Anti-virus. It updates every day to keep your computer safe from viruses and the like.
Then do a scan of your computer with it and it'll get rid of any viruses and stuff like them (trojans, Worms etc.)

I can't sell this computer, it would bring me about $10.
As for the updates and download, did you read when I said that my computer has about 800 MB left on it?! D:

Uninstall and delete programs you never use anymore, Files you will never need again etc. Any way I don't think AVG uses up too much space!

That's definitely enough for AVG now! Probs have loads of space to spare!

How much space total does your hard disk allocate?
